CORE 01
An easy-to-assemble storage system with a transparent top, which shows off the contents of the drawer instead of hiding them.

problem
Traditional storage systems are designed to hide their contents, which often leads to disconnection between the user and the objects they own. When items are placed inside opaque drawers or containers, they become visually forgotten, making it harder to remember what is stored and where. This results in unnecessary duplication, disorganization, and a lack of awareness of the objects that occupy our personal spaces.
solution
CORE 01 challenges this conventional approach by reversing the relationship between storage and visibility. Instead of concealing its contents, it exposes them through a transparent acrylic top, turning the drawer into a display surface. What is stored inside becomes part of the environment rather than something hidden away. This transforms storage into a more conscious and intentional act, where every object maintains presence and relevance within the space.
The development of CORE 01 started from the idea of redefining the emotional and functional relationship between users and their stored objects. The concept focused on clarity, accessibility, and visual honesty, leading to a system where the structure itself communicates its purpose without the need for concealment.

The design was explored through a modular, easy-to-assemble structure, ensuring that the system could be built and adjusted without complexity. Special attention was given to proportions and stability, making the drawer system functional while maintaining a lightweight visual appearance. The transparent acrylic top became the central design decision, acting as both a protective surface and a visual frame for the contents inside.
Material choices reinforced this concept of contrast and clarity. The combination of solid structure with a transparent upper surface creates a balance between containment and exposure. Every component was designed to be minimal yet precise, emphasizing function while allowing the stored objects to define the visual identity of the piece.
Through this approach, CORE-01 becomes more than a storage unit—it acts as a reinterpretation of how we perceive ownership, organization, and visibility within everyday environments.
